T&E Accounting committed to supporting your privacy.

T&E Accounting recognises the importance of compliance with Australian Privacy Laws particularly with respect to personal information. For this reason T&E Accounting has adopted a privacy of information policy consistent with Australian Privacy Legislation and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The following privacy statement applies to all business conducted by T&E Accounting within our industry, be it through any of its offices or over any of its websites. This statement covers all personal information collected by T&E Accounting during the conduct of any of its authorised Sales, Services, Human Resources or Recruitment procedures.

Data Collection

T&E Accounting only collects personal information that is necessary for the conduct of its business, be it by the company’s internal, Sales, Services or Employment divisions. Without the provision of the requested information by the individual or entity, T&E Accounting is unable to effectively complete the relevant business activity.

Within T&E Accounting’s Sales and Services divisions, personal information is only disclosed to suppliers and customers relevant to the particular business that the individual or entity is conducting with T&E Accounting.

Within T&E Accounting’s Employment division personal information is collected relating only to the practise of recruitment and assessment of candidates. Such information may be provided to prospective employers and employees in a range of industries requiring accounting skills or services.

Any T&E Accounting client, customer, business partner, entity or employment candidate who does not wish their personal information to be provided to any particular organisation or types of organisations should notify T&E Accounting at the time of the collection of the personal information.

Use and Disclosure

As a provider of accounting services, T&E Accounting’s primary purpose for collecting personal information is to facilitate the efficient provision of quality accounting services to you as an individual or entity.

Unless you specifically request us not to, if we receive any instructions or information from an intermediary on your behalf (for example, including but not limited to, your lawyer, financial adviser or risk adviser), we may provide your personal information to that intermediary as your agent.

Apart from the provision of accounting services this may involve the provision of relevant service and industry updates and other market related information to you as an individual or entity. Should you prefer not to receive any such information please inform T&E Accounting by contacting us as outlined above.

Data Quality

T&E Accounting continuously monitors the accuracy of personal information on collection from and provision by the individual and through the day-to-day processes of its business. Should any updates to your personal information be required please contact and inform T&E Accounting.

Data Security

As a web based accounting company, T&E Accounting employs state of the art security systems and procedures to ensure the integrity and security of personal information held by the company.

Personal information does not leave T&E Accounting’s internal systems unless required to affect the primary purpose of your business with T&E Accounting, or unless consented to.

Should personal information be required to be removed from our Data Centres for business purposes, increased security measures are employed.

Despite the high level of information security employed within T&E Accounting and its commitment to your privacy, the company is unable to provide an absolute assurance that personal information will remain secure at all times. T&E Accounting therefore does not accept any responsibility for incidences of unauthorised access to personal information, which is provided at your own risk. Likewise T&E Accounting does not guarantee the security or privacy compliance of any websites that are accessible through links provided on any of its websites.

T&E Accounting will delete from its systems any of your personal information held by the company on your request provided that sufficient proof of identity is established.


The T&E Accounting Privacy Statement is available on request. Personal information held by T&E Accounting is limited to that which is required for the legitimate functions of the company’s business. Any queries regarding position on privacy should be directed to T&E Accounting via e-mail.

Access and Correction

T&E Accounting undertakes to provide access to any of the individuals or entity personal information held by the company for the purpose of review and correction with exception to the limitations imposed by the privacy legislation. Requests for access should be forwarded to T&E Accounting along with sufficient proof of identification.


T&E Accounting limits the use of government identifiers to the purposes required of the company by legislation only.


T&E Accounting’s personnel will respect a request for anonymity unless and until client engagement is entered into. None of T&E Accounting’s business services can be completed effectively with either party remaining anonymous.

Transborder Data Flows

Although T&E Accounting is a national company the company does occasionally engage in international business. In these instances we undertake not to send or disclose personal information without the consent of the individual or entity.

In any event T&E Accounting takes precautions to ensure that any of its business partners employ similar policies documenting the recognition of their privacy obligations.

Sensitive Information

T&E Accounting does not require that you supply any sensitive information to the company unless it is essential for the purpose of the conduct of business. This type of information will not be collected without your consent.

Quality Review

Any information acquired by us in the course of our engagement, including any information relating to your affairs whether or not it belongs to you or not or is provided by you or not, is subject to strict confidentiality requirements. Information will not be disclosed by us to other parties except as required or allowed for by law or professional standards, or with your express consent. Our files may, however, be subject to review as part of the quality control review program of the Institute of Public Accountants which monitors compliance with professional standards by its members. We advise you that by agreeing to the privacy policy you acknowledge that, if requested, our files relating to this engagement will be made available under this program. The same strict confidentiality requirements apply under this program as apply to us.
